We are a small and supportive residential home located in Crediton, specialising in providing high-quality care for younger adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Conditions, and Physical Disabilities. The Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will take on a leadership role within our dedicated care team, ensuring high standards of care and support are consistently delivered. You'll work closely with the team and residents to promote a safe, positive, and fulfilling environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Support: Provide tailored support to residents in daily living activities, personal care, and recreational activities, fostering independence and inclusion.
  • Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of support workers during shifts, ensuring care standards and policies are upheld.
  • Care Planning: Assist with the creation and review of individual care plans to meet residents' specific needs and goals.
  • Medication Management: Safely administer and oversee medication in line with care plans and regulations.
  • Sleep-In Duties: Provide overnight support for residents as part of a weekly sleep-in shift, earning an additional £60 per shift.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care delivery, medication, and any incidents or changes in residents' conditions.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated senior support worker, who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of younger adults with diverse care needs.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Conditions, or Physical Disabilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Confidence in administering medication.
  • A compassionate and person-centered approach to care.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a care setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and CQC standards.
