Quality Customer Liaison

Major Recruitment is working alongside a leading global automotive business in the Midlands, which is looking for a Quality Customer Liaison

As a Quality Customer Liaison, you will be based at the customer assembly plant to act as a key customer contact for any quality concerns and act as an interface between manufacturing plants to provide feedback on these issues. Also, to support with any issues relating to delivery/sequencing

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Customer Liaison

  • Liaise with customer Quality Engineers/Technicians to understand concerns and, where appropriate, locally act on concerns or feedback concerns to PCSB for resolution.
  • Identify quality concerns and, where appropriate, negotiate acceptance or arrange for quarantine, return, or rework of parts.
  • Ability to recognize and define defects and to give feedback information to manufacturing plants for corrective actions.
  • Understand quality boundary standards, including colour match standards and, where necessary, train/appraise others in their use and implementation eg: customer personnel such as production line, inspector associates etc.,
  • Support 8D corrective action investigations into related quality concerns.
  • Generate reports for any stock containment actions.
  • Support customer PCPA type meetings where appropriate.
  • Assist in any delivery/sequence issues and feed back to PCSH Logistics/Planning
  • Provide daily reporting in agreed format back to PCSB.

Skills required to be a successful Quality Customer Liaison

  • Proven experience in tier one or OEM automotive
  • Is able to work without supervision.
  • Experience working in a quality role with an automotive supplier.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A client focused approach to service delivery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent IT skills
