We are looking for a degree level or highly experienced Quality Engineer to provide integral assistance to achieve final acceptance of trains by the customer, manage documentation and coordinate activities to ensure that the quality of the final product is up to the highest standards.

Situation

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are partnered with a leader in the international market for the design, manufacture, maintenance and supply of equipment and components for railway systems. Due to a number of projects the business is working on, they require a Quality Engineer for a 6-month period, with a strong possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will have experience in liaising with customers, reviews of specifications & modifications. As well as this they will have experience in managing & reporting quality concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage quality projects to meet specific requirements and satisfy customers.
  • Participate in various improvement plans.
  • Be able to investigate and identify risks.
  • Be able to find technically strong solutions to project risks.
  • Work towards improving business processes to ensure high quality of products.
  • Support projects by facilitating adequate communication with all stakeholders.
  • Assist manufacturing with analysis and problem solving as required.
  • Conduct analysis to produce indicators, statistics, and presentations.
  • Work to promote quality culture throughout the Company.
  • Manage priorities in-line with objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all UK HSE legislation and HSE Company policy.
  • Ensure compliance with customer standards.
  • Investigation and troubleshooting product or production issues.
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.

 

Location: Crewe

Working Practice: Monday – Friday – Full time, additional weekend shifts sometimes required.

Pay rate: £34.42 p/h – 40 hours per week (overtime available)

Contract length: 6-9 months

Essential Criteria

  • In-depth experience working in Quality in a similar industry.
  • Strong Quality Systems knowledge.
  • Excellent IT skills including experience of Microsoft packages including Excel.
  • Experience of internal and external audits.
