Performance Objectives

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot automated production systems.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate performance of automated systems.
  • Maintain records of automated systems.
  • Develop and implement modifications to automated systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on automated systems.
  • Assist with the development of training materials for other technicians.

Person Specification

  • The Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial automation systems.
  • This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and experience in the fields of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
  • The Automation Technician must have a solid understanding of industrial processes and be able to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
