Your responsibilities will include training and briefing internal staff on company and legal requirements to ensure compliance. Additionally, you will develop, implement, and monitor internal policies and procedures to adhere to HMRC processes and stay up-to-date with legislative changes.Key Responsibilities:* Act as a central point of contact for customs, import, and export matters* Train and brief internal staff on company and legal requirements* Implement and improve internal policies and procedures for continuous compliance* Maintain long-term supplier declarations and EU origin statements* Correspond with clearance agent for import clearances* Conduct internal audits of import/export procedures and documentation* Maintain accurate records and ensure data reconciliation* TCA (EU) and other trade agreements* Intra EU trade - triangulationQualifications and Experience:* In-depth knowledge of rules of origin, tariff classification, and trade agreements* Familiarity with INCOTERMS and intra EU trade* Trade with Northern Ireland including The Windsor Protocol, NIRMS, TSS, instrastat declarations* Returned goods relief (RGR)* T1, T2, and groupage transit procedures* Experience with TRACES/IPAFFS and vet/health certificates, POAO, triangular trade* Understanding of EU VAT regimes and customs procedures* Familiarity with registered exporter statusJoin a team of dedicated professionals and make an impact in the world of international product import/export.
