I have the pleasure of supporting one of my exclusive partners within the tech sector, as they continue to be the go to provider within their sector. As part of their commitment to customer excellence, they have a specialist team that work with their key accounts. This role is one of the most important within the organisation as you are responsible for managing and nurturing the relationships with their biggest customers.

As a Key Account Manager your role will involve the following duties:

  • You will be a dedicated Account Manager for the biggest accounts within the business- it is your job to understand their needs and ensure you deliver an outstanding service
  • You will have contact on a daily basis with your key accounts to ensure service levels are maintained- phone and email contact
  • Your role will consist of providing exceptional levels of customer service, whilst also ensuring that any issues/queries are resolved quickly and to the highest of standards
  • Book in monthly/quarterly and annual service reviews with customers (frequency to be agreed)- these reviews are likely to be phone based or done virtually
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits on each account
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to maximise profitability on each account, whilst ensuring a first class service is provided
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within your account base
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Help customers through phone, email, virtual meetings and in person meetings
  • Monitor and analyse customer's usage of products to provide suitable alternatives
  • Liaise between the customer and internal teams to ensure a seamless service

As a Key Account Manager you will be fully office based in Crewe, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
