Absolute Recruitment is actively seeking experienced Class 1 Night Drivers (HGV C+E) to work with our well-known client, based in Crewe. If you are a reliable and skilled driver looking for full-time work, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Job Details:

• Position: Class 1 Night Driver (Depot to Depot Trunking)
• Location: Crewe, Cheshire
• Employment Type: ongoing with a chance of going perm
• Shift Structure: Varied start times from 20:00. Shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on the route.
• Days Required: Weeknights and weekend nights.

  • £17.19 per hour (excluding holiday pay)
  • £16.64 per hour (including holiday pay)
• Weekly Pay: You’ll receive weekly wages directly into your account.
• Modern Fleet: You’ll drive state-of-the-art, well-maintained HGV Class 1 vehicles, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Temp to Perm Opportunity: High-performing drivers will have the opportunity to secure permanent positions with our client.

Responsibilities:

• Trunking between Depots: Your role will involve trunking from depot to depot, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This will not involve multi-drop work, meaning less physical handling.
• Adherence to Safety Standards: As a professional driver, you must adhere to all driving laws, transport regulations, and company guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
• Working Nights: You must be comfortable working a mixture of weeknights and weekend night shifts as part of a rotating schedule.

Requirements:

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence: You should have held your licence for a minimum of 6 months.
