Our client, a dynamic organisation in the automotive sector, is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis. Responsibilities:

  • Define project requirements and scope of works
  • Coordinate tender scope with suppliers and evaluate tenders to achieve funding approval
  • Support the purchasing process for tender nomination
  • Generate planning and building control submissions
  • Monitor suppliers to ensure project delivery aligns with agreed plans

Key Deliverables:

  • Create and manage project plans to ensure timely completion
  • Oversee building projects to ensure safe and high-quality work
  • Provide progress reports to our client via phone, email, or in-person meetings

Skills/Experience:

  • Strong construction project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Automotive business experience preferred
  • Knowledge of civil engineering, including building construction methods and planning permission process
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering, including steelwork construction and installations
  • Understanding of electrical engineering, including power transmission and distribution systems
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders

Practical & Technical Knowledge:

  • Proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Understanding of construction processes and guidelines for effective planning and site management
  • Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple building projects within budget and deadlines
  • Attention to detail for effective safety and construction work checks
  • Financial management of project budgets
