We are seeking a SEND Specialist Coordinator to oversee the provision of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and support the development of our SEND strategy. This role is crucial in ensuring that all learners with EHCPs receive the necessary support to progress and achieve. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEND, with experience in managing EHCP provisions and a deep understanding of relevant legislation and guidelines.
Day to day of the role:- Complete specialist training as required.
- Oversee the EHCP provision, ensuring all learners with EHCPs receive the support they need to progress and achieve.
- Support the development and implementation of the SEND strategy.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, research, and developments within the field of SEND and LDD.
- Maintain effective and transparent records for EHCP learners.
- Provide support, guidance, coaching, and training to staff across the organisation to support learners with SEND.
- Lead on all transition points for learners with an EHCP, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to meet statutory obligations.
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Learning Coaches to ensure appropriate support and intervention is provided for learners with EHCPs.
- Essential:
- Experience working with and supporting learners with EHCP.
- Hold a SEND qualification at Level 5 or above, or willingness to work towards this.
- Experience working with internal & external agencies to plan, deliver, and evaluate EHCP provision.
- Sound knowledge of GDPR and information sharing.
- Understanding of legislation, local and national guidance in relation to SEND and LDD.
- Level 2 in maths and English or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
- Relevant experience in administrative duties.
- Desirable:
- Teaching qualification.

- Communication - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills that support the development of collaborative working relationships.
