Finance Business Partner - Costs

6Month FTC

A brand-new opportunity has opened up for a Finance Business Partner - Costs, responsible for managing and interpreting cost data to drive profitability.

Location: Crewe 5 Days on SiteHours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of cost management, including insulation costs and device cost scheduling.
  • Analyse and interpret P&L at a device level, providing meaningful insights.
  • Work closely with operational teams to identify cost efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Ensure financial data is accurately reflected in reporting and forecasting.
  • Support ad-hoc projects related to cost management and commercial finance.
  • Oversee monthly performance for installation, hardware, and service costs, identifying and actioning improvements.
  • Report on telematics cost base performance and advise stakeholders on corrective actions.
  • Drive process improvements in collaboration with operations and sales teams.
  • Work with Financial Operations and Revenue teams to ensure zero leakage in the billing process.
  • Support various commercial projects across Operations, Tech, and Finance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Minimum 3 years in a cost-focused commercial role.
  • accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to handle and interpret large datasets.
  • Proven experience in business partnering and driving efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • A track record of driving process improvements.
