Location: Delamere House, CW1 2JZ

About the Role:

Are you an experienced finance professional with a talent for navigating complex projects? We're looking for a Finance Business Partner to support the financial operations of the Council's external companies, which deliver essential services including waste collection, waste disposal, and bereavement services.

As part of this critical role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive finance support, including in-year reporting, budget setting, and year-end financial activities.
  • Manage specialised tasks such as VAT, company accounts, and other company-specific financial requirements.
  • Contribute to a major change project as these external companies transition back in-house, ensuring robust financial oversight during this transformation.

About You:

You will have a proven track record in finance, preferably with experience in public sector or company finance. You'll need:

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
  • Expertise in managing budgets, year-end processes, and company-specific financial tasks like VAT and accounts.
  • The ability to navigate and support large-scale change projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
