Description

Finance Manager responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and maintain Sage accounting system ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Monitor and maintain Purchase Order Control system
  • Annual budget creation alongside management team
  • Month end and Year end closedown in Sage
  • General Ledger reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Cashbook and credit card reconciliations
  • Purchase ledger management and reconciliation
  • Sales ledger management and reconciliation - ensuring effective debt management takes place
  • Monthly financial and management accounts production
  • Monthly Job costing reporting to management
  • Cashflow reporting, monitoring and weekly cashflow meeting attendance
  • Liaison with external accountants for year-end statutory accounts production
  • Reconcile and submit Quarterly VAT returns
  • Weekly and monthly payroll liaison with external payroll bureau
  • Manage company pension scheme
  • Any other duties as required by management

Profile

The candidate will have:

  • Experience within a similar role - Required
  • Fully AAT qualified or qualified by experience - Required
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGE - Required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Required
  • Ability to work to their own initiative to drive improvements - Required
  • Good leadership skills - Required
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships - Required
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel - Required
