Robertson Bell are pleased to be supporting a vibrant public sector organisation to recruit an Interim Finance Manager, on a maternity cover contract.

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, with the successful candidate expected to be in the office two days per week, on average, and on-site parking is available.

It is also worth noting that this role can be worked on a part time basis, either three or four days per week, as well as full time. This is the reason for the wider rate bracket.

The Interim Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the entire finance function, managing a small team of very capable and invested individuals.
  • Supporting senior leadership with financial advice and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed and supported throughout the year.
  • Leading the year-end accounting process, ensuring financial accounts are prepared and statutory returns are submitted on time.
  • Monitoring and reviewing budgets, as well as undertaking re-forecasting when necessary.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a competent financial accountant and, ideally, have experience across wider areas of finance.
  • Be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) or have equivalent practical experience.
  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a desire to understand the organisation and embed themselves within core values and objectives.

This role will commence between mid and late April so, you will need to be available to start work during this time period.
