We are looking for a passionate and experienced Management Accountant/Finance Manager to join our client's dynamic team based in Crewe, Cheshire. As the Management Accountant/Finance Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the accounts department and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial transactions and payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the accounts function, overseeing the entire process from entry level to management account stage.
- Prepare detailed cashflow reports, providing short to long-term projections.
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Generate management accounts for the Managing Director and financial institutions.
- Manage profit and loss, and analyse and reconcile balance sheets.
- Coordinate payroll for all staff, partnering with an external provider.
- Run supplier payment runs and process credit card expenditure accurately.
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.
- Process journals and monitor prepayments and accruals.
- Manage payroll and pension control accounts reconciliation.
- Analyse and account for interest and charges pertaining to hire purchases and business loans.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.
- Collaborate with external accountants and assist with sales invoicing and debt collection.
Key qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Accountant
- Desirable to have started or fully completed AAT qualification.
- Experience of working in the Manufacturing industry is essential
