- Develop and maintain the IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals and technical requirements
- Provide regular portfolio status updates to senior management and stakeholders
- Establish and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2) tailored to technical projects
- Develop and maintain PMO policies, procedures, and templates to ensure consistency and quality across technical projects
- Allocate technical resources effectively across projects, ensuring optimal utilisation and balancing workloads
- Monitor resource capacity and demand, adjusting as necessary to meet project needs
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects, ensuring proactive issue resolution
- Develop and maintain a risk management framework, including risk registers and mitigation plans
- Track and report on project performance metrics, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into project status
- Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with business leaders and project managers to ensure stakeholder needs are met and expectations are managed
- Facilitate regular communication and reporting to stakeholders, including status updates, risk assessments, and performance metrics
- Drive improvements in project management processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead initiatives to enhance project management maturity within the organisation
- Provide training and support to project managers and teams, fostering a culture of excellence in project management
- Develop and deliver training programs on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or relevant experience
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are highly desirable
