We're recruiting for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join a dynamic and growing Managed Services Provider based near Crewe, with a presence across the UK. The Role:

As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of IT services to clients across various sectors. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving IT infrastructure, providing advanced technical support, and implementing solutions to enhance business operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy environment, have strong troubleshooting abilities, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide expert-level technical support to clients, resolving escalated issues efficiently and effectively.
* Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including Windows Server environments (Apply online only)), Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, and VMware.
* Administer and support Active Directory, including creating and maintaining users, groups, and policies.
* Implement and manage firewalls, networking configurations, and security solutions to ensure robust protection of client systems.
* Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions using PowerShell to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
* Troubleshoot complex issues related to desktops, servers, and networks, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
* Assist with the design and deployment of new IT systems, upgrades, and migrations.
* Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
* Document processes, configurations, and resolutions, contributing to the knowledge base for the wider team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Strong expertise with Windows operating systems, including Windows 7 and Windows 10.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server environments (Apply online only)).
* Proficiency in Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange, including mailbox and distribution group management.
* Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies, particularly VMware.
* Networking knowledge, including firewalls, switches, and routing.
* Strong skills in scripting and automation, particularly with PowerShell.
* Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
* Proven experience with Active Directory administration and maintenance.
* Basic Exchange Server administration experience.
