Location: Crewe, 3 days per week on site required

Duration: 12-month initial contract with a possibility to extend until 2027

We take pride in creating some of the most iconic vehicles in the world, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Parts Sampler to join our Logistics team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely and accurate sampling of parts for new projects, supporting our commitment to quality.

Job Overview:

As a Parts Sampler, you will work closely with our supply base to obtain and manage sample parts in line with vehicle project gateway timings. You will be responsible for coordinating the sample process, ensuring all parts are available for the respective build phases within a Pre-Series environment, and ensuring submissions to our quality systems are completed on time. The role is essential in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the sampling process, ensuring that both physical parts and digital submissions meet the company's high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain parts samples in alignment with vehicle project timings and gateway requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to acquire sample parts, ensure sample availability, and handle transport arrangements.
  • Facilitate submissions through the BeOn system and ensure that all parts are correctly documented and submitted to quality for evaluation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve any issues arising during the sampling process, including technical and logistical concerns.
  • Manage and update the sampling data in the TEVON system, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Attend Parts Club meetings with Logistics representatives to provide updates on sampling status and address any arising issues.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with external suppliers at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome obstacles in the sampling process.
  • Experience in training external suppliers on Bentley's sampling procedures.
  • Knowledge of MRP processes and familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, especially SAP.
  • Experience using VW Group systems such as AVON, TEVON, and BeOn is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Practical & Technical Knowledge:

  • Previous experience within a logistics team or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with business sampling systems and processes.
