Vendor Planner

Hours: 35 hours Monday - Friday

Hourly Rate: £17.19 - £23.81

Location: Crewe onsite to begin potential of becoming hybrid

Contract: Until January 2026

We are seeking a Vendor Planner to join the Engineering Logistics Team. Reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager, the Vendor Planner will be responsible for the operation and management of a delivery schedule for external suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The provision and management of a delivery schedule to the external supplier that accurately reflects both the actual company production build plan and engineering / After Sales additional requests. .
  • Providing our transport provider with accurate collection information that enables them to plan and utilise their vehicle fleet efficiently across the global supplier network.
  • Managing (expediting) part deliveries efficiently in order that all requests for parts availability is supported and the company inventory financial budget is achieved.
  • The early identification of risks concerning parts availability and the implementation of rectification activities that alleviate those risks to ensure continuity of supply.

About the Person

The successful colleague will be have experience of working with external suppliers and a good understanding of processes within a Logistics structure. You will demonstrate:

  • Experience of working with external supplier concerning parts delivery.
  • Strong administration and/or project management experience
  • The ability to build collaborative relationships with a board range of stakeholders.
  • Examples of working at pace to deliver results and ensure continuity.
  • A process led approach with a strong attention to details.
  • Utilising a vast array of software in your current role alongside the ability to identify and provide solutions to potential risks.
  • You will be proactive and resilient in the face of adversity.

The Function

This team is responsible for all the Logistical activities associated with the introduction of new models, model years and engineering changes on current models. Ensuring that the systems, processes, all parts and vehicle optional features are ready for introduction to the series Production world.
