We are currently supporting a highly respected Housebuilder in their search for a freelance Assistant Site Manager, to join a Site near Crewe for 6-8 weeks (could go on longer)

Reporting to the Site Manager, as Assistant Site Manager you will take responsibility for the Site Activities which will include:

  • Delivering all Construction activities in line with Health & Safety policies
  • Working in line with NHBC / LABC / Building Reg standards and processes
  • Coordinating direct (Operatives) and indirect (Subcontractor) personnel
  • Lead and deliver against project programme for key milestones such as CML's
  • Liaison with internal departments including Sales, Commercial, Technical etc
  • Ensuring high quality records / reports / paperwork are maintained and completed in a timely fashion
  • Deliver a high quality product fit for a 5* Builder
  • Regular liaison and site updates with the Site Manager


Candidates must be able to demonstrate a previous and successful track record within the new build Housing Sector.

Key qualifications will include:

  • 5 day SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Scaffold Awareness (preferred to have)
  • Time served Tradesperson or qualified to appropriate level HNC/HND/NVQ
  • Ability to use IT systems
  • Up to date knowledge of NHBC / LABC / Building Regs / Health & Safety process and legislation
