About the Role:

Our Transport Administrators are essential to our operation and play a key role in ensuring our customers receive their deliveries on time, every time. Working closely with the Transport Supervisor, you will provide continuous support to our Drivers, address any issues that arise, and ensure compliance with transport legislation and Working Time Directives.

  • Salary: £23,961.60 per annum
  • Hours: Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Job Type: Full time and permanent contract

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing:

  • Driver Support: Act as the first point of contact for Drivers throughout the day, ensuring deliveries stay on schedule and promptly resolving issues.
  • Vehicle Compliance: Record and communicate vehicle defects, ensuring that off-road vehicles are not used. Support vehicle servicing and maintenance to uphold compliance with legislation.
  • Route Allocation: Assign routes to Drivers for the following day, managing their expectations fairly and consistently.
  • Reporting and Logging: Update daily depot reports, accurately log issues, and maintain records of depot time sheets.
  • Legal Compliance: Monitor and ensure driver compliance with regulations, including hours worked and weekly rest periods.
  • Fuel Card Management: Issue and manage fuel cards, report lost or stolen cards, and coordinate replacements.
  • Purchase Orders: Raise purchase orders as required.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong internal and external relationships to effectively perform the role.

A Few Things About You:

  • Strong understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations.
  • Consistent performance, adhering to time and cost guidelines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and provide quick, effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
