Job Title: Fleet Engineer
Location: Crewe
Working Hours: Fully onsite, 35 hours per week (8am – 5pm)
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities of Fleet Engineer:
- Vehicle Planning & Definition: Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to plan and define vehicle requirements for each project.
- Vehicle Coordination: Maximise vehicle usage, manage transport logistics, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve vehicle concerns raised within the business, ensuring timely updates.
- Disguise Strategy: Oversee the vehicle disguise strategy, including sourcing and delivering appropriate disguises.
Key Competencies & Qualifications of Fleet Engineer:
- Financial Awareness: Understand financial limits related to your area of responsibility.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence colleagues at various levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, especially for cross-functional challenges.
- Health & Safety Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety regulations and risk assessment completion.
- German Language: Proficiency in German is preferable but not essential.
Skills & Experience of Fleet Engineer:
- Knowledge of vehicle road-worthiness and legislative requirements in various countries.
- Strong expertise in design, development, testing, and engineering software tools.
- Familiarity with the Product Emergence Process (PEP).
Qualifications expected of Fleet Engineer:
- An Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification is preferable.
- Membership in a relevant professional institution and Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
Additional Information:
- The role requires building strong cross-functional relationships to address both EE and non-EE vehicle aspects.
- You will contribute to meeting vehicle quantity, updates, and maintenance budgets.
