In return, they can offer a role you can be proud of, that lets you grow and develop in the UK’s leading defence, aerospace and security company.As a Maintenance Technician your main responsibilities will include:• Working to company safety guidelines• Setting/Operating/Maintaining volume production machines of which produce high quality components (The role is 80% operating/production and 20% maintenance)• Ensuring the quality of production using statistical process control and following written standard operating procedures and risk assessments are carried out• Achieving set volume production targets• Maintaining the machines in line with preventative maintenance schedules• Reacting to resolve immediate mechanical breakdowns• Recording machine performance using the companies Smart Factory data collection system for measuring performance and overall equipment effectiveness• Taking part in company safety, quality and performance programmesEssential skills required as a Maintenance Technician:Time served apprenticeship (HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent)Experience in a Mechanical Engineering fieldMust have worked on high volume output machinesDesirable skills required as a Maintenace Technician:• Experience with operating and/or maintenance of power presses or experience in automated assembly equipment• Holding an up to date power press safety qualification• Basic understanding of statistical process control• Fork lift truck licence or mobile equipment platform licence• Basic understanding of IT systems• Willingness to work overtime if requiredWhat we're also looking for in a Maintenance Technician is the ability to work autonomously without the need for direct supervision, but also as part of a teamHours of work:37 hours across 5 days a week, usually an early finish of a FridayDay shift – starting at 6am-2pm M-T 6am-11am FridayNoon shift 2pm-10pm Mm-t and 11am-4pm on FridayNight shift 10am-6pm M-T and 4pm-9pm on Friday Voluntary OT available paid at timePackage on offer:Basic salary is £37,935 however working on the 3 shift system will also qualify you for a 25% uplift of which works out to £47,418 per annum33 day holiday (Including 8 days bank holiday)Company sick payFree shares incentiveUp to 14% company pension (Employee/employer contribution combined)Permanent roleEmployee assistance programme including private medical insuranceCycle to work schemeOnsite parkingDue to the nature of the role, a full and thorough security clearance will be undertaken prior to commencing your roleThis is an excellent opportunity to work for one THE most highly regarded companies worldwide
