Back to searchOur Maintenance Technicians are an intrinsic part of what keeps our Rolling Stock Fleet moving safely around the UK and we require more Technicians to support the Team at our Crewe Depot. Carrying out general maintenance and repair of our busy fleet of electric and diesel/electric locomotive fleet within an excellent working environment.
With a basic salary in excess of 44k pa, Technical Module Enhancements (financial uplifts), overtime and an Industry Leading Benefits Package, earnings can readily exceed 50k pa plus the business is working to support you in your future through excellent training and promotional opportunities and with one of the best Pension Plans in the UK, support you in to retirement.

A minimum Technical Qualification of NVQ Level 3
Previous experience of working within a busy workshop environment, Automotive, Armed Forces, HGV etc
Team Player and a good sense of humour a must
Hands on tools and a strong appreciation for Health & Safety
Dual skilled, we are ideally looking for Elec/Mech's but all are welcome to apply
Able to work shifts, 2 days / 2 nights then 4 off
Should live within commutable distance of Crewe, no more than 60 minutes travel time
A strong affinity for problem solving, fault diagnosis both electrically and mechanically and ultimately repair
Should be able to use a Fluke or a multi meter
This is a permanent role and an excellent opportunity to use and enhance your skills in an exciting and reliable industry whilst still being able to learn
We are seeking additional staff for our team in Crewe with immediate effect, start dates subject to notice periods etc. Those successful after interview will be offered a role provisionally on the basis of successfully completing a Rail Related Medical and Drug & Alcohol Test.
