We’re working with a luxury automotive brand seeking a Production & Inspection Engineer to join their elite bespoke division.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the delivery of world-class, tailor-made vehicles—focusing on inspection, auditing, and quality assurance throughout production, from concept through to completion.

As the Production & Inspection Engineer you will be:

  • Leading quality audits across multiple bespoke vehicle models and managing issue resolution processes.
  • Coordinating inspection activities and providing expert guidance to design and engineering teams.
  • Attending design reviews to influence standards and ensure production feasibility.
  • Performing inspections on components, assemblies, and complete vehicles—both in-house and at UK/EU supplier sites.
  • Ensuring feedback loops and reporting are maintained to continuously drive improvements.
  • Planning and Coordination of the production quality processes inspection and reporting.
  • Acting as deputy to the Quality Technical Manager and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Address Audit complaints by influencing design reviews for new / replacement products and continual improvement
  • Control reporting systems for data generated by Audit and responsible for standard reporting to
  • Attend and present at senior meetings for audit results and key measures

Experience needed:

  • Solid experience in product inspection within automotive—ideally paint, trim, or final assembly.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply quality standards consistently.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across departments.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in cosmetic and dimensional inspection.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK/EU for supplier audits.
  • Full UK driving licence essential (advanced driving certification is a plus).
