Our Maintenance Technicians are an intrinsic part of what keeps our Rolling Stock Fleet moving safely around the UK and we require more Technicians to support the Team at our Crewe Depot. Carrying out general maintenance and repair of our busy fleet of electric and diesel/electric locomotive fleet within an excellent working environment.With a basic salary in excess of £44k pa, Technical Module Enhancements (financial uplifts), overtime and an Industry Leading Benefits Package, earnings can readily exceed £50k pa plus the business is working to support you in your future through excellent training and promotional opportunities and with one of the best Pension Plans in the UK, support you in to retirement.If the above looks of interest then we are looking for the following in return:A minimum Technical Qualification of NVQ Level 3Previous experience of working within a busy workshop environment, Automotive, Armed Forces, HGV etcTeam Player and a good sense of humour a mustHands on tools and a strong appreciation for Health & SafetyDual skilled, we are ideally looking for Elec/Mech's but all are welcome to applyAble to work shifts, 2 days / 2 nights then 4 offShould live within commutable distance of Crewe, no more than 60 minutes travel timeA strong affinity for problem solving, fault diagnosis both electrically and mechanically and ultimately repairShould be able to use a Fluke or a multi meterThis is a permanent role and an excellent opportunity to use and enhance your skills in an exciting and reliable industry whilst still being able to learnWe are seeking additional staff for our team in Crewe with immediate effect, start dates subject to notice periods etc. Those successful after interview will be offered a role provisionally on the basis of successfully completing a Rail Related Medical and Drug & Alcohol Test.
