My client provides high-quality catering o elderly residents in assisted living homes across Cheshire, North West Wales, and the West Midlands. They are committed to offering a positive dining experience with nutritious meals tailored to our residents' needs. They are looking for a Catering Operations Manager to lead their catering teams and ensure their contract provision meets the highest standards.
Role Overview:
As Catering Operations Manager, you will oversee the catering operations across their homes in Cheshire, North West Wales, and the West Midlands. You'll lead kitchen and FOH teams, ensuring meals are nutritious, tailored to dietary needs, and served safely and efficiently. Your leadership will play a key role in maintaining high standards and ensuring residents enjoy a positive dining experience. Within this region this role is also responsible for some education contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage catering operations across multiple locations in Cheshire, the North West, Wales, and the West Midlands.
- Lead and support kitchen teams, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and working efficiently.
- Plan and update menus to meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met and maintained.
- Manage food ordering, stock control, and budgeting.
- Gather feedback from residents and staff to improve service.
- Work closely with care home teams to coordinate mealtimes and meet individual care needs.
- Prepare operational reports, track costs, and manage budgets.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in catering or food service management, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting to Operations Management level.
- Education catering management experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent).
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Understanding of elderly nutrition and special dietary needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in improving resident dining experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple locations
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
