Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience within the education sector, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities:-
Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.

Ensure students remain on task during lessons, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.

Assist students with their learning by providing support when necessary.

Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Follow school policies and procedures for classroom management.

Liaise with teachers and school staff to ensure a smooth transition of work for students.

Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

A professional and proactive attitude towards work.

A good understanding of secondary school age groups (11-16 years).

Valid DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

Strong references from previous roles.

Ability to work flexibly and respond to the varying needs of the school.
