Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience within the education sector, with an immediate start available.

• Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.

• Ensure students remain on task during lessons, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.

• Assist students with their learning by providing support when necessary.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

• Follow school policies and procedures for classroom management.

• Liaise with teachers and school staff to ensure a smooth transition of work for students.

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

• A professional and proactive attitude towards work.

• A good understanding of secondary school age groups (11-16 years).

• Valid DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

• Strong references from previous roles.

• Ability to work flexibly and respond to the varying needs of the school.
