Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5)
  • Foster a positive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Prepare students for exams and help them develop their scientific knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the department to share best practices and resources
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and support the wider school community
  • Adhere to the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Sciences)
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential)
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in their learning
  • A passion for Science and a commitment to inspiring students
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
