Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5)
- Foster a positive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Prepare students for exams and help them develop their scientific knowledge and skills
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department to share best practices and resources
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and support the wider school community
- Adhere to the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management
What We Are Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Sciences)
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential)
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in their learning
- A passion for Science and a commitment to inspiring students
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
