We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Housing Officer on a permanent basis on behalf of an established housing association, where you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day housing, tenancy and estate management within your own designated patch across Crewe and surrounding areas.

This is a 35 hour per week, hybrid role, with a competitive salary and car allowance. Your new role

  • Managing own caseload of ASB & other tenancy breaches including all legal casework - gathering evidence, preparing witness statements, court applications and presenting evidence
  • Being visible within the community - acting as first point of contact to customers, taking ownership for customer queries and identifying any support needs
  • Plan and deliver community engagement events
  • Lettings, signups, viewings, voids and repairs
  • Regular inspections of properties and estates - ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations including Gas/Electrical Certs
  • Income management
  • Tenancy sustainment

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of delivering housing & tenancy management services and an understanding of relevant housing & ASB legislation
  • Experience of dealing with a diverse range of customers and working with specialist support groups
  • Understanding of welfare benefits system
  • Working knowledge of safeguarding adults & children
  • Own vehicle with ability to travel to and from various locations throughout working day
