We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Housing Officer on a permanent basis on behalf of an established housing association, where you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day housing, tenancy and estate management within your own designated patch across Crewe and surrounding areas.
This is a 35 hour per week, hybrid role, with a competitive salary and car allowance. Your new role
- Managing own caseload of ASB & other tenancy breaches including all legal casework - gathering evidence, preparing witness statements, court applications and presenting evidence
- Being visible within the community - acting as first point of contact to customers, taking ownership for customer queries and identifying any support needs
- Plan and deliver community engagement events
- Lettings, signups, viewings, voids and repairs
- Regular inspections of properties and estates - ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations including Gas/Electrical Certs
- Income management
- Tenancy sustainment
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of delivering housing & tenancy management services and an understanding of relevant housing & ASB legislation
- Experience of dealing with a diverse range of customers and working with specialist support groups
- Understanding of welfare benefits system
- Working knowledge of safeguarding adults & children
- Own vehicle with ability to travel to and from various locations throughout working day
