Description

We are exclusively working with a packaging manufacturer who are looking for a Procurement/Purchasing Manager to join the team, based in Crewe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchasing from approved suppliers and procure various printed and non-printed consumables.
  • Negotiate with raw material suppliers an agreed delivery schedule to enable production demand to be met.
  • Ensure effective communication with supplier and assist with price negotiations.
  • Control all raw material stocks to optimum levels and maintain accuracy of each specific product.
  • Establish, maintain and co-ordinate all outwork activities with external suppliers.
  • Allocate all raw materials to enable each order to be completed by the indicated delivery date.
  • Present accurate reporting information to the Financial Director and assist with budget information as and when required.
  • Always ensure adherence to the Company’s Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures and maintain compliance to appropriate standards.
  • The quality management system has been designed and developed to meet the requirements of ISO9001, PS9000, BRC, FSC and PEFC.
  • Carry out work safely in the interests of other employees and themselves, in compliance with current legislation and Company Environmental, Health & Safety procedures to including general housekeeping.

Key Skills

  • IT Skills e.g Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Worked with ERP systems previously.

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000 - £45,000+ (DOE)
  • Days Role - Monday to Friday 8:15am - 4:30pm.
