Location: Crewe
Salary: £46,888 per annum + Overtime Opportunities
Shifts: 4 on 4 off (2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 off) - 6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Our client, a leading food manufacturing business with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, is seeking skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their engineering team at their facility in Crewe.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly automated, fast-paced environment where your skills will play a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency and improving equipment reliability.

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Performing planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Collaborating with contractors and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Working closely with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Identifying and implementing equipment improvements to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Supporting training initiatives and contributing to your own professional development.
• Leading or assisting with ad hoc engineering projects to support business objectives.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Qualifications: Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification, ideally multi-skilled.
• Experience: At least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, ideally within the food sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with PLC systems (Siemens S7, Mitsubishi), inverters (Lenz, Mitsubishi, ABB), and robotics (ABB). Familiarity with HACCP and PUWER standards is desirable.
• Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

• Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH).
• Knowledge of supply of machinery regulations (2008).
• Experience in automated production environments or similar industries.
