Senior Workshop Technician

Crewe - £21.50 per hour

Contract

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Workshop Technician to join our customers team based in Crewe on a long-term contracting basis.

The ideal candidate will be tasks to prepare, inspect & service the Quality Reliability test vehicles, and maintain the vehicles at the appropriate level of build during the Reliability test programme. Approximately 50 cars on the Quality fleet. To enable delivery of the above from nominated supplier, our automotive customer will provide the necessary laptop, data, software and systems, Share drive access.

Technical Requirements

Skill Requirements

  • Must be multi skilled to carry out any Technician vehicle task (Mechanical, Electrical and Coach
  • building).
  • Must be skilled to carry out software updates using Engineering/Service tools (E.g Idex)
  • Competent working on High voltage/PHEV/BEV vehicles using ODIS service procedures.
  • Good computer literacy in standard Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.), and
  • ability to use workshop data systems (E.g. ALPOS).
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with Engineers and remote test stations.
  • Detailed knowledge of all vehicle components and systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of workshop processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Bentley/Volkswagen Group tools and equipment
