Key Responsibilities:
- Performing hand lay-up of composite materials to build aerospace components
- Working with pre-preg and wet lay-up techniques
- Ensuring that all work is carried out according to technical specifications and quality standards
- Inspecting materials and finished products for defects
- Collaborating with engineers and other team members to ensure project success
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Documenting work processes and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency
Job Requirements:
- Experience in laminating and working with composite materials
- Strong understanding of pre-preg and wet lay-up techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to composites
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry is preferred but not essential
