This position within the Land Department offers a chance to develop your career, providing key secretarial support to a team of dedicated lawyers.

About the Client:

Our client is a well-established law firm with a reputation for excellence. They are looking for a Legal Support or Trainee Legal Support professional to assist the Land Department with comprehensive secretarial and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Legal Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial support to lawyers, including preparing documents, processing bills, and handling digital dictation.
  • Manage case information using the firm’s Case Management System, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance and handle general administrative duties such as booking appointments and diary management.
  • Collaborate with other support staff to maintain a high standard of service for both internal and external clients.

Legal Support Requirements:

  • For the Legal Support role, candidates should have at least 12-18 months’ recent experience in a secretarial or legal support role, ideally within conveyancing.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (60 WPM+ for Legal Support, 35 WPM+ for Trainee Legal Support) are essential.
  • Ability to work with Case Management Systems, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in a law firm is desirable but not essential for Trainee applicants, as long as you have transferable administrative or secretarial skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and an ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
