About the Role:
Our client, a leading aerospace company, is seeking a skilled Fitter with composites experience to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. This is a day shift role offering the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge industry and contribute to high-quality aerospace manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test composite components in line with agreed engineering methods and processes as outlined in the manufacturing instructions.
- Ensure strict adherence to Quality procedures and compliance standards.
- Perform material handling and ensure proper management of materials.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings with a strong understanding of their specifications.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and drive opportunities for productivity and performance improvements, supporting cost reductions.
- Contribute to the continuous development of health, safety, and environmental practices within the work area.
- Take ownership of assembly tasks and carry them out independently, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
- Support and progress personal development through the use of a skills matrix, ensuring flexibility and growth within the role.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Composite Fitting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of material handling processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of Quality procedures and commitment to compliance.
