Quality Assistant, £12.80 per hour + Overtime, Mon-Fri, Crewkerne, Ongoing Temporary.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assistant to join a global manufacturing company in Crewkerne. As a Quality Assistant, you will play a crucial role in one of the world's leading engineering groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform component measurements and maintain required component records within the PPAP and ISIR process
  • Support the site process for calibration and control of metrology equipment
  • Maintain the Metrology lab to the expectations of relevant 5S standards and QMS system
  • Support change management in product or process verification
  • Assist other quality personnel as needed
  • Manage the process for hand-held gauge calibration
  • Work with the existing quality team to prioritise tasks
Requirements:
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong understanding of metrology and measurement techniques (hand and automated)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and completing templates (Excel and Word)
  • Effective time management in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate and influence others
