About the Role

I delighted to be working in collaboration with a well established and dynamic company to recruit a driven commercial analyst to join their team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving our pricing strategy, ensuring optimal profitability, and supporting our growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Development: Take the lead in developing and implementing pricing strategies for new prospects and existing clients, aligning with new product launches and strategic goals.
  • Profitability Optimisation: Utilise advanced modelling techniques to assess and refine pricing structures, making data-driven recommendations that directly impact our bottom line.
  • Modelling & Reporting: Build and document robust pricing models, generating insightful profitability reports that support our competitive positioning.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement robust processes and controls to effectively manage pricing risks and mitigate potential business impacts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships across departments, particularly with the commercial team, to drive growth and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Strategic Insight: Provide insightful analysis that empowers our executive team to make bold, data-driven decisions that shape our future.
  • Leadership: Act as a key support to the Head of Pricing, deputising when necessary and demonstrating strong leadership qualities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • ACCA/CIMA Qualified or Part qualified
  • Proven experience in pricing analysis, preferably within a commercial or financial setting.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience with pricing software or tools is a plus.
