MIS Systems Analyst

A position has arisen for an EPR Management Information Systems Analyst within a highly regarded healthcare organisation situated within the East of England. The position is temporary running for 6 months.

Location: East of England

Contract: 6 months

Rate: £153.30 inc. holiday pay per day

Hours: 37.5, Monday to Friday

Your duties will include the following:

  • Responsible for supporting the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimization of the EPR system, analysing system performance metrics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that the EPR system aligns with clinical and administrative needs
  • Working closely with end-users, IT teams, and clinical staff to provide application support, data analysis, and system improvements to enhance patient care and operational workflows
  • Providing day-to-day support and maintenance of the EPR system to ensure optimal functionality and performance, and assisting in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, working closely with IT teams and vendors to minimize downtime and service disruptions
  • Performing system configurations and adjustments based on clinical or administrative requirements to enhance system usability and efficiency, and monitoring system alerts and logs to identify potential issues before they impact users
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for end-users both clinical and administrative who need assistance with the EPR system, providing training and guidance to users on system functionality, workflows, and best practices to ensure effective system use
  • Developing user guides, training materials, and FAQs to support ongoing education and knowledge-sharing across departments
  • Troubleshoot user issues and escalate unresolved technical problems to higher-level support teams or vendors when necessary

The successful candidate should have:

  • Experience in system analysis, support, or administration, preferably in a healthcare setting with exposure to clinical systems or electronic patient records
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data to support decision-making and system optimization
  • Proficiency in system troubleshooting, testing, and configuration management within a complex healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations, including GDPR and other compliance standards related to patient records
