Position: Kitchen Porters

Location: White Horse Bar & Restaurant, East Runton, Cromer

Working Hours: 4 On 4 Off Shift Pattern - Full time permanent opportunity available.

Pay rate: £11.50 p/hr – plus tips 

As a seasonal Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen during our busiest times. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Dishwashing: Operating commercial dishwashing equipment to ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitised efficiently.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying bins, and cleaning work surfaces.
  • Assisting Kitchen Staff: Supporting chefs and cooks by completing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables, chopping ingredients, and portioning food items.
  • Stock Management: Helping with the receiving, storage, and rotation of kitchen supplies, including dry goods, perishables, and cleaning supplies.
  • Compliance: Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards set by the restaurant and relevant regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • You must be 18 years or older to apply for this position.
