4 day working week Monday to Friday 8am - 5.30pm (38 hrs), or part time hours may be offered to the right candidate, minimum of 25hrs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Department with day-to-day financial operations.
- Manage purchase ledger and credit card transactions for both UK and USA operations.
- Process payroll and administer pension schemes.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Utilise SAGE 50 Accounts for financial reporting and analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a finance assistant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of purchase ledger and accounts payable processes.
- Experience with payroll processing and pension administration.
- Familiarity with VAT returns and compliance.
- Proficient in SAGE 50 Accounts and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
