Finance Assistant - Temp / Temp to Perm

4 day working week Monday to Friday 8am - 5.30pm (38 hrs), or part time hours may be offered to the right candidate, minimum of 25hrs.



Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Department with day-to-day financial operations.
  • Manage purchase ledger and credit card transactions for both UK and USA operations.
  • Process payroll and administer pension schemes.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Utilise SAGE 50 Accounts for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a finance assistant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of purchase ledger and accounts payable processes.
  • Experience with payroll processing and pension administration.
  • Familiarity with VAT returns and compliance.
  • Proficient in SAGE 50 Accounts and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
