Location: East Sussex

Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum + annual profit bonus

Hours: Mon-Fri 37.5hours

Our client, a dynamic and ambitious manufacturing organisation based in Crowborough, is on the lookout for a dedicated Production Test Engineer to join their busy production test department. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing business that values innovation and excellence.

What You'll Do:As a Production Test Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Testing and repairing printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA's).
  • Testing and repairing finished equipment to ensure the highest quality.
  • Designing and building test jigs with support from the design department.
  • Fault finding circuits down to the component level with precision.
  • Programming memory and controller chips to meet project specifications.
  • Writing and updating test specifications to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the Production Test Team Leader or Production Manager on various tasks.

What We're Looking For:To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A qualification in electrical/electronic engineering (minimum BTEC national diploma or similar/equivulent).
  • At least 1 year of experience in electronic testing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems to streamline processes.
  • Competence in using the Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanour to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously while driving results.
  • A proactive mindset, eager to identify and implement best practises.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality and compliance in all tasks.
