We require a COSS (Controller of Site Safety) for various shifts in Oxted and Crowborough for a rail subcontractor undertaking tunnelling works.
The works are across various local locations on Sunday 2nd February with other works likely to come in on other weekends.
TO START - Sunday 07:00 to 19:00
The COSS is responsible for:
- The safety of their group, and ensuring that all within the group follow the Network Rail Safety Guidelines outlined in the rule book and implementing
- Leading from the front in performing all duties
- Assist in the planning of tasks
- Work closely with the SSOW planner and follow the Safe System of works.
- Ensure that the health and safety of all workers are signed onto the Safe System of Work Pack (SSOW pack).
- All works completed to the highest levels, quality and issues relating to the completion of work escalated through the correct channels.
- Fully brief all members of the work group on all aspects of the SSOW pack ensuring they sign the SSOW pack following the brief.
- Follow protocol for close calls
- Responsible for the group being in full PPE when signing in at site
Paying a minimum of 12 hours - rate can be negotiable.
