The School:

The school is based in Crowborough and provides support for primary, secondary and sixth form age pupils who have a range of profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe learning disabilities, moderate learning disabilities, and diagnosis of autism. All pupils who attend the school have a designated Education Heath Care Plan (EHCP), which details their specific needs in terms of care and support they will have access to.

The school provides a unique and specialist environment that meets the needs and challenges that the students face. The school offers a highly specialised curriculum, which aims to help all students reach their full potential.

Students' needs include profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe learning disabilities, moderate learning disabilities, and diagnosis of autism.

Information on the SEN Teacher role:

This SEN Teacher role is based on the Sixth Form site where you will plan, deliver, and assess for a small class of children. You will build a strong understanding of the children that allows you to plan according to their individual targets. The children will be participating in ASDAN and Functional Skills Curriculums. You will have high expectations of the children and continue to challenge them regardless of prior outcomes.

Requirements of the SEN Teacher role:

  • Degree or similar
  • QTS
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
  • SEN experience (desirable not essential)
