Term Time Teachers are looking for a Class Teacher who understands the importance of developing and nurturing the whole child, and who brings enthusiastic energy to the classroom every day.

This role is in KS5 working with 16-19 year olds sharing a class.

The opportunity is available as Full-Time or Part-Time.

Who this role is for:

This role is perfect for an ECT looking to begin their career as a Special Needs Teacher or an experienced SEN Teacher looking for career development. The school offers training days throughout the year. Teachers with a background in Primary, Secondary, Mainstream and SEN are encouraged to apply. You will be supported through an induction process when you join the team.

What you'll do as a Special Needs Teacher:

  • Implement tailored learning plans and adapted teaching materials
  • Implement behaviour plans and procedures
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and parents
  • Part-time share a class in Key Stage 5

What you need to be as a Special Needs Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility and creativity to adapting to student needs
  • Experience with special educational needs (desirable, not essential)

Information on the Special Needs Teacher role:

Location- Crowborough, East Sussex

Pay- £30,000-£46,525 per year. ECT/MPS/UPR + 1 SEN point. The school will allocate SEN 2 on the understanding that you will be expected to lead a subject and potentially another leadership theme.

Contract- Permanent. Full-time or Part-time.

Hours- 19.5-32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. If the role is Part-time the salary will be pro rata

Year- Key Stage 5

Qualifications- QTS essential
