ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Food Technology Teacher your responsibilities will be:

  • Teach Food Technology to students across various year groups (11-18).
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Food Technology.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes both practical and theoretical knowledge in Food Technology.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to support their development in Food Technology.
  • Ensure the Food Technology department maintains high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organisation in the kitchen and classrooms.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Food Technology curriculum and share best practices.
  • Provide additional support for students who need it, ensuring they excel in Food Technology.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities related to Food Technology, such as school events, cooking clubs, or competitions.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in Food Technology to ensure the curriculum remains relevant
