We are recruiting a Personal Assistant on behalf of our client, a young man who is a wheelchair user with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2. He is looking for a team of compassionate PAs to enable him to be as independent as possible, whilst out and about in the community.
Location: Crowthorne, Berkshire (RG45)
Hours: 12.00am 6.00PM (Some flexibility required)
Shifts: 5 Shifts p/w - Monday to Sunday - You are guaranteed 30 hours per week
Rate of Pay & Benefits:
Start: ASAP
Pay: £16 per hour
Holidays: 5.6 weeks annual leave, pro rata.
A Full UK Driving licence is required for this position as you will be required to drive the clients vehicle.
About Our Client:
Our client has Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 and will require support with certain aspects of life such as personal care, medication, administration, commuting to appointments and general social support. Day-to-day duties will vary however you will receive training in all aspects of his care/equipment. As a PA, we are looking for someone proactive, organised and able to follow instructions given by the client.
Our client loves gaming and watching YouTube videos in his spare time. He has a huge passion for the Star Wars Franchise and Marvel films. Previously he has attended Comic cons in the UK and would enjoy doing similar events. Our client is looking for a supportive individual, who will encourage him to try new sports and events to enrich his life.

Duties Would include:
Providing comprehensive support in daily activities, both at home and during outings
Offering personal care assistance
Assisting during social outings
Assistance with organising
Accompanying the client to medical appointments
Support with housekeeping
Skills & Requirements:
A Full UK driving license (Essential)
Confident driver as you will be expected to drive the clients vehicle
Excellent communication skills
Open minded
Good organisation skills, and the ability to work on your own initiative
Ideally be independent, but also reliable and trustworthy when necessary.
Physically fit, calm & patient
Comfortable with pets, as the client has a small dog
