About the Role:
One of our clients, based in Croxley Green / Watford, is looking for a Chef de Partie to join their team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Head Chef and stepping up in their absence. You’ll be working in their newly refurbished clubhouse, contributing to an enthusiastic team that caters to the diverse needs of their members and guests.
We’re not just about standard menus – you’ll have the chance to put your stamp on things by creating exciting daily specials and preparing a variety of dishes for the regular bar menu, as well as for special functions and events. This is a truly versatile role with plenty of opportunities to grow and showcase your culinary talent.

Purpose of the Role:
To assist the Head Chef in delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences for members, guests, and visitors, while maximizing food sales and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Step in to manage daily kitchen operations, staff, and food quality when the Head Chef is absent.
- Support the Head Chef in training, developing, and managing the kitchen team.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and uphold high hygiene standards.
- Assist in creating weekly rotas to cover daily service and accommodate special events (e.g., weddings, corporate functions).
- Address employee relations issues when necessary and liaise with the General Manager on any incidents.
- Foster positive working relationships between the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service.
- Attend and contribute to weekly Heads of Department meetings in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Maintain consistently high standards across all food outlets, ensuring quality is upheld for both daily service and special events.
- Monitor and manage product yields to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Assist with ordering kitchen stock and handling deliveries when required.
- Keep all kitchen appliances clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues as needed.
- Adhere to the Club’s Health & Safety policies at all times.
- Comply with hygiene regulations and report any concerns to the Food & Beverage Manager or Supervisor.
- Salary: £24,(Apply online only) - £26,(Apply online only) per year
