About the Role:

We’re thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join a well-established, family-run accountancy practice. This role is perfect for a professional eager to take the next step in their career while managing a diverse client portfolio ranging from sole traders to limited companies.

This client-facing role offers a dynamic and varied workload, including accounts preparation, tax returns, and occasional bookkeeping. You’ll also supervise a small team and have ample opportunity to grow within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

?? Portfolio Management: Act as the main contact for a variety of clients, managing their financial and accounting needs.?? Accounts Preparation: Prepare annual financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.?? Tax Returns: Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations by preparing and submitting personal and corporate tax returns.?? Bookkeeping: Occasionally handle bookkeeping tasks, maintaining accurate financial records.?? Client Interaction: Build and nurture strong client relationships, providing expert financial advice.?? Software Use: Work with systems such as Xero, FreeAgent, TaxCalc, MoneySoft, and Virtual Cabinet (training provided as needed).?? Team Support: Mentor junior team members and assist with technical queries.

What We’re Looking For:

�? Qualifications:

  • Recognised UK accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA).

?? Experience:

  • Strong background in an accountancy practice, ideally at a senior level.
  • Familiarity with UK accounting and tax regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage a client portfolio.

?? Skills and Attributes:

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail for precise financial reporting.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
