This is a really exciting opportunity for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join a fast growing and fantastic independent, certified chartered accountancy practice based in Croydon on a full time basis. You will be offered a progressive position where you will have the opportunity to enhance your career. 

The firm has a modern style and approach and a well-earned reputation as a leading advisor to SME owner managed businesses across the country. The practice provides clients with year-end accounts, tax compliance & advisory, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and payroll services. You will have the opportunity to get involved in all areas of accounting and take on as much responsibility as you feel comfortable with. They have a very relaxed, close-knit, team.

  • Reporting to the Managers and Partners, the role will focus mainly on audit and accounts activities.
  • Support a varied portfolio of clients from owner-managed to not-for-profit organisations.
  • Lead audits from planning through to completion, liaising with the team and client where necessary.
  • Provide accountancy and taxation advice and support to clients as necessary.
  • Host and conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
  • Assist in the management of a team of qualified and part qualified accountants
  • Mentor colleagues -- reviewing their work and encouraging prompt and high-quality delivery and service.
  • Develop and expand the team’s skillset through development plans and training and support.
  •  Contribute to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
Requirements
  • For this Audit and Account Senior role in Croydon, you will be required to be qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience with relevant experience. 
  • You will have a background in an accountancy practice, with at least 1-3 years or more experience preparing accounts, conducting audits, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • You will be looking for a challenging, long term career move, at Senior level, within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of certified chartered accountants, offering progression and career development.
